World of Warcraft- The Twin Blades of Azzinoth?
I'm considering playing World of Warcraft again and I was wondering, are the twin blades of Azzinoth worth getting anymore? I've heard that the WOTLK weapons are way better but im not sure... Warriors have abbandonned the twin blades in favour of titans grip, but are they still useful to rogues? If so for how long? (How many levels?) Btw is it possible to weild them when they are combined as one weapon to become an artifact, as a class besides rogue or warrior?
Would they compare to WOTLK weapons in pvp? Say you were pvping with them at lvl 80... would you get owned? What i meant about combining them before... You can combine them to make a one handed sword. No matter where i look i can not find wether this can be used by classes beside warrior or rogue, although the two blades themselves can only be used by warrior and rogue. Can anyone answer these?
The "Twin Blades of Azzinoth" is a GM item only, and cannot be acquired in-game. That's the one that can be separated into two separate weapons called "Warglaive of Azzinoth". Again, as GM items, these CANNOT be acquired by a player character. These also looked very mundane, as they had no glow and only a simple texture (as datamined).
The Warglaives of Azzinoth dropped by Illidan, on the other hand, cannot be combined into a sword. However, they are a fully-textured model, have their own glow, and have an absolutely unique look.
Together, these have total stats of:
Agi +43
Sta +57
ATP +88
crit +23
hit +21
and each have 109.3 dps. The set bonus is a significant haste proc. Main Hand is a good slow 2.80, Off Hand is a nice, fast 1.40.
Compare them to Ymiron's Blade main/Meathook's Slicer off, both iLevel 187, available in non-heroic dungeons, with total stats of:
Agi +58
Sta +54
ATP +120
crit +19
ArP +22
with each having 120.0 dps.
So before heroics, you've got a stats upgrade with a significant dps increase, and once you hit heroics and iLevel 200+, it just goes up from there.
So basically, no, at level 80, the Warglaives are not competitive in PvP... But could easily last you *until* level 80 if you got them at 70.
