any suggestions on a safe seat type thing I can put my 6 month old in?
we had a bouncer, but hes now rolling over in that, so i can't put him in it any more unless I'm with him constantly. He has a walker, but gets fed up in that after a while as he doesn't really get it yet, and I have a bumbo seat which he can sit upright in, but he's already figuring how to get out of that one!! we have got a playpen which partly works, but I don't like that he keeps crawling into the corners and banging his head (not hard but enough to annoy him) I really want something he can relax in, but which he can't just roll out of, probably something with shoulder straps I guess, but most of the stuff I look at looks just like his bouncer (it lies him down at an angle, with a strap across his waist).
And just in case I get any comments about how I shouldn't leave him in anything like this, we all need to put them down somewhere safely for 5 mins, to get food ready for him if nothing else
Please don`t take offence to this but i think your worrying too much.
You are doing all the right things and there is no perfect solution to your question. Having raised three children of my own, babies do get bored easily and WILL get bumps and scrapes as they naturaly want to explore and get around. The playpen is a good solution.
As you said yourself he bumps his head "but not enough to annoy him"
Just bear in mind they are resiliant and as long as he in sight or at least earshot he will be fine.
Relax
