Children's Video Library: Jacob Two-two Meets the Hooded Fang This fun-filled feature, winner of the Greater Miami International Film Festival, is a thrilling adaptation of Mordecai Richler's best selling children's classic. It stars football hero Alex Karras (Blazing Saddles and TV's "Webster") as the dreaded Hooded Fang, warden of the prison "from which no brat returns." But Jacob Two-Two is no ordinary brat. What is your policy on bath toys?
My mother picked up a rubber ducky that lights up when it hits water for my son while she was out shopping and decided he needed his bath now since the power keeps flickering. He got settled in the tub and she drops it in. The look on his face was classic, sort of WTF is this? He doesn't seem to like it.
When my baby sister was about four or five my mom had her a little crate by the tub for her bath toys. Which needed to be rotated every now and then because they'd get moldy. I mean I don't mind one or two toys in the tub, but to the point where you can't see water? That's way too much.
We are lucky enough to have a bathroom specifically for the kids. We purchased a Frog Bath Toy Holder. It sticks to the walls, holds all the kids toys and it drains the water off the toys well. http://www.cheekymonkey.ca/FrogPod.htm
Once the frog toy holder is full they are either no longer allowed any more toys or they can swap some old ones out for new ones. We stuck some wall cling alphabet/number clings to the walls. The foam letters/numbers seemed to just make a mess. My kids love bath time. It's something they look forward to every day. All I need to say is that it's time for a bath and the kids run upstairs as fast as they can. Once up there they start asking me for things like "can we have bubbles?" or "can we use our bath crayons". I don't mind the toys. As long as I can dip my cup (http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=3203779&cp=2582924.2582931.2582931&parentPage=family) in the water to wet/rinse the kids hair they can go crazy. =)
