In a hot gel, how does the flexing of metal plate cause the chemical reaction?

"A heat pack like the one you are describing contains sodium acetate and water. It turns out that sodium acetate is very good at supercooling. It "freezes" at 130 degrees F (54 degrees C), but it is happy to exist as a liquid at a much lower temperature and is extremely stable. Clicking the disk, however, has the ability to force a few molecules to flip to the solid state, and the rest of the liquid then rushes to solidify as well. The temperature of the solidifying liquid jumps up to 130 degrees F in the process.

When you boil the solid, you melt it back to the liquid state. You have to completely melt every crystal, by the way, or the liquid will quickly re-solidify. You can repeat this cycle forever, theoretically, just as you can freeze and melt water as many times as you like. The plastic pouch eventually wears out and leaks, though (since sodium acetate is a food additive, it is non-toxic)."

How do I get my hair to stay silky?

When I get out of the shower, my hair is silky, soft, and shiny. But after it dries, it is course and frizzy (mostly course). Help! How do I get my hair to be silky even after it dries?

What are the best ways to remove hair wax from your head?

i've recently bought Fishfingers hair wax and it is quite hard to remove. It takes a couple of washes to get it off. Any other methods?

i used to put that stuff on when i spiked my hair it used to stay there for a good week!
just keep shampooing you hair and comb it and within 4 days it should come off.
btw use warm water because it melts the wax and it fades more easily!

Can barber cut spikey(layered) hair styles with their limited cuttng tools?

How do I instruct a barber on what kind of scissors to use to create a spikey hair style? I'm away from my regular hairstylist yet i need a haircut without anyone messing it up. How do i make sure that they cut exactly what i want?

You are supposed to use it dry. Look for one that specifically calls itself wet/dry. Panasonic used to make one like that.

Men - Is there much difference between cheap razors and a branded one?

Hi,

I currently use a cheap normal shaving razor. Is there a noticeable difference with a Gilette, Wilkinson Sword, King of Shaves etc?

Cos the blades on those are quite expensive and I am not sure whether it's just cos of branidng largely.

Also, if you do you a cheap one, how often do you change the blades?

If you shave everyday, then buy either decent wet shave blades e.g Gilette Fusion/Mach 3 (I personally swear by the Mach 3) or buy an Electric Shaver, although you have to pay a fair bit to get a really decent electric shaver. If you're only shaving once a week just stick with the cheap ones.
