What are repeaters? what do they do? how?
What are repeaters? what do they do? how?
I get the idea that repeaters are like amplifiers that strengthens the signal and allows it to travel further.
My question is, let's say you are half deaf and I have a small voice. I say something to you first time and you didn't hear me. How is repeating what I just said in that same low volume 100 times going to make it easier for you to hear? How does repeater actually "amplify" anything by repeating?

It receives at a point near the limit of the original signal and then transmits it again at full strength. This does not actually amplify the original signal, it picks up the minimum signal it can manage, and brings it up to full strength again. The next repeater would do the same.
