How can you store regular AA and C Cell batteries to minimize energy loss.?
My wife sells a variety of Hand-Held Battery-Operated Marital Aid Devices so we keep a large assortment of batteries around the house. What is the best way to store these batteries over period of months that will minimize energy loss?
The battery in the fridge works... but isn't worth the space in your fridge (especially if you are selling a lot!) Batteries in their packaging would have to be unused for decades before they actually lose all thier power. If you kept them in the fridge you might add a couple of months of life to those decades - if that - and you would have paid a LOT more money for the cooling costs than what it was worth.
My suggestion would be to assess how many batteries you sell on average per month and buy a constant monthly supply based on that. If you suddenly need more, you can always go get more! This "extra" work and hassle is why large manufacturers don't include batteries with thier products. They are just too much of an unstable component to cheaply and efficiently handle in the masses that it is cheaper for everyone for the consumers to buy it themselves after they buy the product.
